The 5^th annual Chocolate on the Beach Festival is less than a month away, and preparations are already in full swing!  This year we are adding several new events, including cooking classes sponsored by the Ocean Crest Resort and a new kid’s event at the “Palace of Treats” (Pacific Beach Resort Conference Center).  Along with the return of our favorite vendors, we’ve added a third venue, the “Hot Cocoa Hall” at the North Beach Community Center to hold our new vendors.  Admission is still just $5.00 for adults for both Saturday and Sunday and all three venues!  Attendees will receive a bracelet to wear for the weekend.

This year’s annual Chocolate Recipe Contest guest judges are The Culinary Madman, Jess Owen from the Ocean Crest Resort and Art Sanders from KOMO News Radio.  Once the festival is over, recipes collected from the first five years will be made into a collector’s cookbook.  This will include pictures of the Festivals and winners of years past as well as artwork submitted by kids with their recipes.  Be a part of history, enter the recipe contest this year and get free admission!

Speaking of free admission…on Sunday of the Festival, ALL professional and volunteer fire, EMS, law enforcement and 9-1-1 operators are invited to bring a guest for FREE!  This is the Festival Board’s way of saying, ‘Thank You!’ to these extraordinary people.
